Job summary

WA River Protection Solutions seeks a qualified professional to oversee the organization’s operational needs and manage materials and equipment essential to day-to-day operations at the Hanford site. The role encompasses procurement, maintenance, and procedure development for M&TE and radiological materials.

Responsibilities include coordinating shipments, addressing non-conformances, maintaining audit-ready records, and developing training and procedures in collaboration with HMIS Central

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree plus 6 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working in radiological protection.
  • Experience working with radiological instrumentation.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential badge.

Job Duties/Scope Of Work

Job Duties/Scope of Work:
This position is responsible for overseeing the operational needs of the organization and specializing in the management of equipment and materials needed to carry out day to day operations.

  • Manage all RSS Material and Test Equipment (M&TE) including procurement, maintenance, transportation, and development of procedures.
  • Oversee and perform all operational requirements in preparation to ship and receive specialized equipment and radioactive material.
  • Work directly with other organizations to investigate and correct non-conformance reports for equipment and sources and develop suitable inspection plans.
  • Manage and maintain internal material and equipment records database for audits and respond to audit requests.
  • Perform end of life close out actions for instrumentation.
  • Develop and maintain HRIP procedures.
  • Develop/oversee the review, revision, and implementation of assigned operational procedures to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
  • Perform internal procedure compliance assessments.
  • Develop and maintain On-the-job training (OJT)/On-the-job evaluation (OJE) courses through collaboration with HMIS Central Training.
  • Become a certified classroom and OJT instructor.
  • Serve as liaison among multiple organizations to coordinate activities, track action items, and ensure timely processing of orders.
  • Manage software life cycle and quality assurance requirements.
  • Perform assigned project work, coordination efforts, and follow through on key action items as assigned by RSS program/project managers.
  • Performing building emergency response roles as assigned.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications

  • Grade 17: $99,063 - $124,788
  • Grade 18: $109,013 - $137,538
  • Grade 19: $119,813 - $151,038
