Job summary

Black Hills Energy is seeking a detail-oriented scheduling/operations support specialist in Wichita, KS. You will help schedule daily work for field crews, enter customer information, and document activities to support the operations team.

The role emphasizes collaboration, accuracy, and proactive problem resolution to improve service delivery. The position reports to the Operations Manager and requires a high school diploma with 3+ years in customer service or scheduling within utilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of customer service, utility industry and/or scheduling experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule daily work for service and operational employees and/or crews through scheduling tools.
• Submit requests to agencies for facility locating and related tasks.
• Support meter issue investigations, processing meter changes and equipment orders.
• Assist with expense reporting, processing invoices and invoicing third-party services.
• Assist in tracking deposits and refunds for customer construction.
• Assist with scanning, filing and data entry into electronic systems.
• Coordinate meetings and schedules for emergency plans and building maintenance.
• Provide support to Supervisor and work with customers to resolve service issues.
