Job summary

The City of Dallas is seeking an Operations Research Analyst to provide analytical information to management regarding department procedures, processes, and structure to support organizational improvement. You will evaluate current practices, perform research and statistical analysis, and develop recommendations to enhance service delivery and efficiency.

A Bachelor's degree and at least three years of professional operational analysis experience are required; background checks and a drug test

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3 years of professional level experience in operational analysis.
• Experience collecting/analyzing data and evaluating program effectiveness.
• Ability to communicate findings effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical information to management regarding procedures, processes, and structure for organizational improvement.
• Evaluate current practices and identify areas for improvement; review processes regularly.
• Conduct research and statistical analyses to support decision making.
• Advise senior management on restructuring or redesign strategies.
• Analyze barriers and value of fiscal/program restructurings and develop recommendations.
• Assist with data extraction from core data sources and summarize results for reports and visuals.
• Lead special projects as assigned and provide data-driven insights.
• Support management with research, data analysis, and presentations; participate in professional development.
• Perform any other duties as needed.
