Job summary

International Justice Mission (IJM) is seeking a Business Operations Intern for the 2027 Spring Internship class. The role supports project and portfolio management, change management, and process improvement as part of IJM's Global Operations team, reporting to the Global Director, Business Operations.

The position is flexible for in-person (Washington, DC area) or hybrid work arrangements, approximately 30–40 hours per week, with a monthly volunteer stipend.

Qualifications

• Completed at least two years of undergraduate study by the start of the internship.
• At least one prior professional internship or significant leadership experience in extracurricular, campus, volunteer, or community organizations.
• Ability to commit to a schedule of 20, 30, or 40 hours per week during standard business hours.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience in project management or process implementation is desirable; change management/training facilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support project and portfolio management, change management, and business process improvement.
• Assist with delivering project deliverables, scheduling, and coordinating tasks.
• Conduct research on industry best practices and design/edit communication materials.
• Contribute to planning and execution to scale IJM’s operational impact.
