Job summary

QVC Group is seeking an Area Manager, Operations Planning to identify staffing schedules for all distribution functions based on the 21 day plan. This onsite role at our Ontario, CA fulfillment center reports to the Scheduling Manager.

You will develop staff schedules, forecast staffing needs, and model operations to maximize production while coordinating with corporate forecasting and analysis teams. Strong Excel, planning, and scheduling experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• Analytical experience with scheduling is required (1+ years).
• Operational experience related to site activity, including workflow understanding (1 year).
• Working knowledge of Excel is required.
• Background in staff planning and forecast development is required.

Responsibilities

• Work with site management and the corporate analysis group on developing all operations staff schedules based on the staffing plan.
• Identify base, seasonal, flex, and overtime needs for all direct and indirect positions.
• Conduct employee schedule preference bids consistent with the site base scheduling requirements.
• Develop computer-based models for staffing and operations to maximize production.
• Work with corporate forecasting and analysis group by communicating varying assumptions and deviations to the staff plan/forecast (absenteeism, vacations and meetings).
• Lead the Operations Planning Support Specialists in managing timecard reconciliation, site scheduling, site time off, and other administrative duties.

Our onsite Operations Planning Support Specialists and Operations Planning Assistant roles will directly report to you. You will report to the Scheduling Manager.

Where You’ll Work

• This role is onsite and will require you to work from our Ontario, CA fulfillment center daily. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

What You’ll Bring

Salary: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00
