Job summary

QVC Group is seeking an Area Manager, Operations Planning to develop staffing schedules for distribution operations and lead a team of scheduling specialists at our Ontario, CA fulfillment center. This role centers on building base, seasonal, flex, and overtime plans aligned with the 21-day forecast and working with forecasting to adjust the staff plan.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 1+ years of scheduling and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop staff schedules for all distribution functions based on the staffing plan.
• Identify base, seasonal, flex, and overtime needs for direct and indirect positions.
• Conduct schedule preference bids aligned with base scheduling requirements.
• Develop computer-based models for staffing and operations to maximize production.
• Collaborate with forecasting and analysis groups and communicate deviations to the staff plan/forecast.
• Lead the Operations Planning Support Specialists in timecard reconciliation and site scheduling.

Your Opportunity, Your Team The Area Manager, Operations Planning supports QVC, and will identify staffing schedules for all distribution functions based on the 21 day plan provided. Our onsite Operations Planning Support Specialists and Operations Planning Assistant roles will directly report to you. You will report to the Scheduling Manager.

Where You’ll Work This role is onsite and will require you to work from our Ontario, CA fulfillment center daily. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

What You’ll Do Work with site management and the corporate analysis group on developing all operations staff schedules based on the staffing plan. Identify base, seasonal, flex, and overtime needs for all direct and indirect positions. Conduct employee schedule preference bids consistent with the site base scheduling requirements. Develop computer-based models for staffing and operations to maximize production. Work with corporate forecasting and analysis group by communicating varying assumptions and deviations to the staff plan/forecast (absenteeism, vacations and meetings). Lead the Operations Planning Support Specialists in managing timecard reconciliation, site scheduling, site time off, and other administrative duties.

What You’ll Bring Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience Analytical experience required with 1+ years scheduling experience Operational experience associated with the site activity to include an understanding of workflow processing with 1-year experience. Working knowledge of Excel is required Background in staff planning and forecast development #LI-JM1

Salary: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00
