Job summary

Wesco in Carol Stream, IL is seeking a Manager – Operations to lead a diverse team in a customer-centered warehouse environment. You will oversee order fulfillment, shipping, inventory, and performance metrics while driving LEAN improvements and ensuring safety and compliance.

You will coach and develop staff, manage cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Accounts, HR, and Finance, and help shape annual budgets. This is a hands-on leadership role within a Fortune 500 distribution leader.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of operations experience, preferably in distribution center facilities.
• Experience managing a group of individual contributors or indirectly supervising staff.
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Teams, Power Point).
• Ability to communicate effectively in group and individual settings.
• Ability to travel 0-25% of the time.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages all aspects of the location including on-time order fulfillment and shipping, receiving, inventory and quality management.
• Leads multiple systems and value-added services; ensures safety and compliance.
• Coaches, mentors, hires and trains employees; manages performance.
• Drives efficiencies with LEAN methodologies and maintains tour-ready standards.
• Oversees facility maintenance, and aligns capacity with market expectations in collaboration with sales and leadership.
• Collaborates with Accounts Payable/Receivable, HR and Finance; contributes to annual budgeting.
