Warehouse Specialists, LLC in Illinois seeks an Operations Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring cost-efficient, high-quality performance that meets client expectations. You will lead shift meetings, monitor workload, drive Lean initiatives, coordinate with third-party contractors, and manage staffing to align with customer needs.

On-site role requires strong leadership and safety focus. On-call rotation, training of Supervisors, and reporting progress to the Facility Manager

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in warehousing.
• High school education.
• Strong understanding of LEAN principles.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily shift change meetings for labor planning.
• Participate in customer calls.
• Monitor and analyze workload demands.
• Maintain a safe work environment and engage in safety program.
• Conduct regular facility inspections and housekeeping.
• Assist with forklift and new hire orientation training.
• Drive performance relative to customer KPIs.
• Lead continuous improvement teams within the site.
• Apply Lean methodologies to improve processes.
• Develop effective continuous improvement plans addressing top business needs.
• Provide regular data reports to measure progress.
• Deliver projects reducing waste.
• Collaborate with third-party contractors in One Team approach.
• Be on-call on a rotating schedule.
• Forecast and schedule labor to meet customer needs.
• Work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Train and mentor Shift Supervisors.
