Job summary

The Chefs’ Warehouse & Allen Brothers is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to direct the efficient, cost‑effective operations of our distribution centers and warehousing facilities in Dallas, Texas. You will oversee inbound receipt, storage, inventory management and outbound order fulfillment, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and exceptional service.

This role requires strong budgeting, people leadership, safety compliance, and cross‑functional collaboration with HR, IT, and finance.

Qualifications

• College degree in Operations, Supply Chain, or Finance required.
• 7-10 years in Facilities & Construction management.
• Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff and major projects.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
• Budget development and oversight experience.
• Commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
• Excellent people manager, open to direction and collaborative work style.
• Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization.
• Ability to look at situations from several points of view.

Responsibilities

• Improve operational systems, processes, and policies to support the organization's mission and improve reporting.
• Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services (HR, IT and Finance) through improvements and coordination.
• Play a significant role in long-term planning, including operational excellence initiatives.
• Oversee overall financial management, planning, systems, and controls.
• Organize to service each business division while maintaining and improving overall operational and departmental efficiencies.
• Interface cross-functionally with divisions, offshore management, external resources, and concerns such as freight forwarders and third-party providers.
• Troubleshoot and provide solutions for issues of moderate to complex scope.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and cleanliness requirements.
• Participate on divisional management teams and provide direct support to the divisions.
• Direct operations of warehouse and transportation teams to achieve objectives.
• Motivate staff and monitor performance via productivity metrics; counsel and discipline as needed.
• Develop and maintain a productive work team via training and career development.
• Promote a strong corporate culture, quality, and high-performance teams.
