Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking an Operations Manager for our Norwalk, California location to lead daily transport operations and deliver on annual business plans. You will supervise the contract’s daily performance, manage on-time service, call center functions, customer relations, and staff training while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has strong scheduling experience, the ability to work independently, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management experience in a paratransit or microtransit environment.
• Experience in scheduling and personnel management and training.
• Ability to work independently with strong written and verbal skills.
• Knowledge of contractual obligations and company policy.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-time performance and driver availability.
• Oversee call center functions.
• Manage customer relations through direct contact and outreach programs.
• Identify, select, train, and mentor location staff.
• Communicate with location staff and support teams.
• Oversee safety and training programs to meet requirements.
• Maintain safety culture of the division.
• Maintain client contact to meet or exceed expectations.
• conduct periodic departmental audits.
• Review operational metrics daily, weekly, monthly.
• Implement, promote, and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Participate in labor and employee relations at the location.
