Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Mt Pleasant, Wisconsin, seeks a Manager Trainee, May 2027, to learn supervising a small driver count and non-traditional shifts. You will ensure safe, timely freight movement, load assignment, and best-in-class customer service under DOT regulations.

You will interact with drivers, carriers, and internal teams to optimize routing, payroll, budgeting, and reporting, building toward leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field is preferred.
• Experience in management or supervising roles is advantageous.
• Ability to travel to account locations and work varying shifts including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Learn to build positive relationships with drivers and carriers to ensure onboarding and productivity.
• Fill in for absent personnel and contribute to fleet optimization projects.
• Learn payroll, Net-Revenue budgeting, driver coaching, and reporting duties.
• Plan loads, route freight, monitor performance, and ensure on-time service.
• Assist with maintenance coordination and safety/compliance activities.
