Job summary

J.B. Hunt is hiring a Manager Trainee in Wisconsin to learn managing a small driver count and non-traditional shifts. You’ll support safe freight movement, load planning, and customer service while training for DOT compliance.

You will gain experience in fleet optimization, payroll and budgeting tasks, and reporting, with opportunities to advance as you grow with the Supply Chain team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field, OR high school diploma with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends.
• Willingness to regional relocation based on account assignment.

Responsibilities

• Learn to build and maintain positive relationships with drivers and carriers.
• Fill in for absent personnel and support fleet optimization projects.
• Train drivers and staff on internal systems and procedures.
• Analyze KPIs and prepare customer-specific reporting and financial analysis.
• Assist with payroll, budgeting, invoicing, and enterprise reporting.
• Coordinate yard operations, maintenance, and safety programs.
• Plan loads, routes, and monitor freight movement to meet timelines.
• Ensure DOT compliance and uphold the company safety culture.
