Job summary

Pleasant, WI is seeking a Manager Trainee to learn the management of a driver team, optimize fleet operations, and ensure safe, on-time freight movement while meeting customer expectations. The role requires DOT compliance training, cross-functional collaboration, and potential regional relocation as assignments demand.

The position offers full-time hours with opportunities to contribute to profitability through efficiency improvements and performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications include a BA/BS in business or 1 year of management/transportation experience with a HS diploma.
• Willingness to travel to account locations and events as needed.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and weekends.
• Willingness to relocate regionally based on account assignments.

Responsibilities

• Learn to manage a small driver count and non-traditional shifts while ensuring safe and timely freight movement.
• Develop skills in driver compliance, DOT regulations, and customer-focused service.
• Build relationships with drivers and external carriers to optimize carrier setup and productivity.
• Assist in planning loads, routing, and monitoring to meet customer requirements.
• Support payroll, budgeting, invoicing, and reporting tasks as needed.
• Participate in maintenance coordination and safety programs to uphold DOT safety standards.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to resolve service issues and improve operations.
