WM (Waste Management) in Houston, TX is seeking a route coordination professional to manage daily collection routes and oversee driver and laborer performance. You will coordinate resources, ensure service standards, and uphold safety and regulatory requirements on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid Driver's License Upon Hire.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and schedules resources to accomplish activities, coordinating with Maintenance.
• Plans and monitors daily route assignments to service customers per standards and agreements.
• Manages end-of-day check-in, capturing key service, safety, and equipment issues.
• Monitors driver and laborer time/attendance, minimizing overtime per regulatory limits.
• Reviews weekly route demand/volume and considers re-routing opportunities.
• Sets and monitors productivity, service, and safety targets for routes and drivers.
• Assists with data collection and reporting for incentive pay programs.
• Promotes union-free atmosphere and builds collaborative relations with unions.
• Works with groups to resolve labor relations issues.
• Coordinates temporary workers to assist drivers on routes.
• Ensures drivers comply with physicals, tests, and required training.
• ConductsRoot Cause Investigations for injuries/incidents and retraining.
• Visits customers to evaluate safety issues and propose service alternatives.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment per OSHA standards.
• Documents fixes and provides instructions to dispatch if issues recur.
• Communicates sales opportunities, customer issues, DVIR repairs, container swaps, and safety concerns.
• Notifies customer service of delivery days for specific areas.
• Reports and resolves setup errors and missed pickups.
• Documents and maintains DOT-related records.
• Reviews route operation documentation daily and follows up.
