Job summary

Priority Waste Resources LLC in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking a Logistics Manager to lead a drivers team and coordinate daily waste collection operations. You will serve as a liaison among drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure safe, efficient service and high-quality outcomes.

The role requires hands-on supervision, route optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or related field with supervisory duties.
Proven ability to lead teams and manage drivers.
Strong knowledge of routing, dispatch, and fleet operations.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support a team of drivers, including daily oversight and performance management.
Assign routes and carrier responsibilities to ensure efficient service delivery.
Provide real-time support to drivers, resolving issues on routes.
Act as escalation point for customer concerns with timely resolutions.
Communicate with drivers and internal teams via phone, chat, and video.
Collaborate with logistics, customer service, and quality teams to drive service excellence.
Track and update status of daily waste removal routes using internal systems.
Monitor route performance and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
Ensure compliance with policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with onboarding and training of new drivers and provide ongoing coaching.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and implement operational enhancements.
