Mass General Brigham’s Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary is seeking an Operations Manager, Research to oversee and optimize the organization’s operational processes within a healthcare setting.

The ideal candidate is experienced in Operations and Healthcare, capable of prioritizing and re-prioritizing daily, and ready to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary Research Operations team to support researchers across operational areas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management or related field required
  • Experience in Operations Management preferred
  • Experience in healthcare operations is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies, goals, and plans aligned with the organization's objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior management to define operational targets and monitor progress towards achieving them.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, streamlining workflows, and improving operational efficiency.
  • Analyze existing processes, recommend enhancements, and implement changes to drive productivity and cost-effectiveness.
  • Allocate and manage resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet operational requirements.
  • Set performance metrics, establish Key Performance Indicators, and monitor performance against targets.
  • Implement quality control measures, conduct audits, and address any non-compliance issues promptly.
  • Oversee the procurement, inventory management, and distribution processes.
  • Identify and assess operational risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and implement appropriate controls.
  • Generate regular reports on operational performance, key metrics, and project updates.

Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operational processes of the organization including ensuring efficiency, productivity, and effective utilization of resources.

The ideal candidate for this position is someone with experience in Operations and Healthcare. The role of Operations Manager, Research is for someone who is a self-starter, a team player, and not fazed by prioritizing and then re-prioritizing on a daily basis. The Research Operations team is a multi-talented and skilled group who work together in supporting our Researchers in all operational areas.

Bachelor's Degree Operations Management required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required

Operational Management Experience 1-2 years preferred
