Job summary

Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) seeks an Operations Manager A - SES to support the Records/Coding unit, including Re-Evaluation and Mandatory Citation Coding. The role requires supervisory leadership, data analysis, and strong knowledge of relevant statutes and DMV systems.

Travel overnight is required; the position offers comprehensive state benefits and opportunities for skill growth within a mission-driven agency.

Qualifications

• Supervisory/management experience preferred.
• Ability to research, interpret and apply law, rules and procedures.
• Ability to create presentations and provide training to stakeholders and staff.
• Knowledge of state traffic statutes and DMV systems (CCIS, DAVID, AAMVA).
• Excellent data collection, analysis and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the HSMV Program Manager in all phases of the Records/Coding unit.
• Manage Re-Evaluation, Research and Update, Mandatory Citation Coding units.
• Code out-of-state dispositions and update driving records.
• Review citation errors and voids; resolve in-state/out-of-state duplicates.
• Coordinate reinstatement dates and record changes as required.
