Job summary

National Oak Distributors in Memphis is seeking an Operations Manager for our local distribution center. The role focuses on supervising a warehouse crew, driving safety and efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to meet client demands.

The successful candidate will manage staffing, report performance, ensure compliance with DOT/Hazmat and OSHA, and partner with leadership to deliver strong results.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a warehouse workforce.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with DOT/Hazmat and OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Schedule staff based on workload.
• Run shifts with safety and efficiency as priorities.
• Maintain and report daily work logs to corporate office.
• Audit daily labor and billing reports.
• Performance management of staff, including hiring, counseling and interpretation of State and Federal employment laws.
• Promote continuous improvement using lean tools (5S, 5 Why, Kaizen, one-piece flow).
