Job summary

Paxon is seeking an Operations Manager in Walton, KY. The role leads the operations team, overseeing inbound, pick/pack, and outbound activities, inventory, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position includes 2nd shift and weekend coverage as needed, with a focus on safety, quality, and cost control.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of ops management experience, Lean/Six Sigma background, and strong Excel skills. Travel is not required; remote work is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred / HS Degree or GED required.
• 2+ years of progressive Operations experience in a manager role.
• Experience in creating productivity improvement through continuous improvement efforts.
• Execution focused and the ability to be flexible.
• Awareness of internal customer requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead inbound, pick/pack, and outbound operations for the value stream.
• Manage day-to-day operational strategy ensuring safe, productive campus operations.
• Develop and coach direct reports and lead performance management.
• Oversee shift directives and communicate priorities for efficiency and quality.
• Interact with clients on operational topics and monitor SLAs and KPIs.
• Promote continuous improvement and lean culture across the team.
• Manage seasonal staffing with the director of operations.
• Oversee safety, quality, cost control, and training programs.
