Job summary

The role focuses on optimizing assets, monitoring revenue and costs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through proactive problem-solving and relationship building. On-site at the customer facility, it requires flexible shifts, including day, night, and weekends. The position emphasizes budget analysis, KPI monitoring, and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3-4 years of supervisory experience or Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record as per JB Hunt standards.

Responsibilities

• Promote, manage, and maintain a positive work environment to improve operational efficiency and driver retention.
• Plan forecasted freight volumes and power/equipment needs; adjust capacity for seamless coverage.
• Train on and audit processes; identify and implement improvements.
• Communicate with customers and teams to identify and resolve problems throughout the day and when on-call.
• Manage assigned fleet operations including driver board coverage, customer service, safety, compliance, retention, and scorecards.
• Analyze financial performance, costs, expenses, and profitability; present mid-year reviews and annual assessments.
• Compile reports on operational, financial, and service metrics; monitor KPIs and deviations.
• Ensure fleet safety training and address safety needs for fleets/drivers.
• Facilitate training and development; optimize performance through evaluations and development plans.
• Serve as initial contact with customers/ramp for exceptional service and profitable operation.
• Assist in annual budget creation and provide budget updates based on operational changes.
