Job summary

Apex Service Partners in Cincinnati is seeking an experienced HVAC Operations Manager to lead and grow our residential HVAC operations across the Greater Cincinnati market. This hands-on role focuses on developing technicians, driving performance, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

• 5+ years of HVAC leadership experience.
• Experience managing HVAC technicians or field service teams.
• Strong knowledge of residential HVAC diagnostics, maintenance, repair, and service operations.
• Proven ability to coach technicians and improve performance.
• Experience managing operational KPIs and driving accountability.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance people leadership with operational execution.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Drive performance across key metrics including revenue, productivity, customer satisfaction, and maintenance agreement growth.
• Conduct ride-alongs, field training, and regular coaching sessions to support technician development.
• Partner with dispatch and operations teams to optimize scheduling and technician efficiency.
• Monitor service quality and conduct job site visits to ensure consistent execution.
• Manage customer escalations and service recovery efforts.
• Analyze KPIs and implement strategies to improve team performance and profitability.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and retention initiatives for the service department.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and customer-first service.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to support growth initiatives and operational excellence.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of HVAC leadership experience
• Previous leadership experience managing HVAC technicians or field service teams
• Strong knowledge of residential HVAC diagnostics, maintenance, repair, and service operations
• Proven ability to coach technicians and improve individual and team performance
• Experience managing operational KPIs and driving accountability
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to balance people leadership with operational execution
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading service teams within a residential HVAC organization
• ServiceTitan or similar field service software experience
• Track record of improving technician productivity and department profitability
