Job summary

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking a Chick-fil-A Operations Manager to join the Housing Chick-fil-A unit. This role supports the General Manager in supervising daily restaurant operations, ensuring safe, welcoming guest experiences and adherence to campus standards.

It also involves training, hiring support, and coordinating supplies. Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in food service management, strong cost and inventory controls knowledge, and proficient computer skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's or equivalent education/experience in food-related, business, or hotel/restaurant management.
• Four years of food service management experience in high-volume dining operations.
• Knowledge of cost controls, inventory controls, and food safety/sanitation programs.
• Ability to supervise large quantity food production.
• Proficient with personal computers, word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail and internet.
• Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain via Safety and Sanitation test.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations to provide a safe, inviting atmosphere for guests, staff and student workers.
• Provide high-quality customer service to all guests.
• Ensure orders meet University Dining and Chick-fil-A standards.
• Foster diversity and growth for student workers, staff and guests.
• Assist in hiring and training processes.
• Oversee supply ordering and maintenance schedules; assist in daily duties.
