Job summary

University of Nebraska–Lincoln is seeking a Chick-fil-A Shift Leader (Full-time) to join our dining services team. You will lead a restaurant shift, supervise Team Members, and ensure a high-quality guest experience with strong operational oversight.

You’ll handle front-end and back-end duties, train new staff, manage food preparation and safety, and maintain inventory and scheduling. This role offers stable hours, benefits, and opportunities for professional growth within UNL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/ GED plus three years of food preparation experience and mastery of all kitchen and dining tasks and attributes; equivalent experience/education considered.
• Ability to read, write, weigh, and measure necessary.
• The ability to communicate is essential.
• Must have the ability to train and lead others.
• Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain by passing the Safety and Sanitation test required.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift and supervise Team Members to ensure a high-quality guest experience.
• Delegate shift duties and oversee front-end and back-of-house operations.
• Ensure products and ingredients are stocked based on forecasting.
• Train new team members and ensure food quality and safety.
• Perform greeting, order entry, cashier duties, and stock duties.
