Murray, Mensch & Brooks, P.C. (MMB) is a community-focused CPA firm in McKinney, Texas, serving individuals and businesses for 40 years. We are growing and seek an Operations Manager to run workflow, client service processes, and the admin team, with a clear path to Director of Operations and COO.

You'll build systems and metrics to scale while preserving the personal client care our firm is known for, in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or related field required.
3–5 years in public accounting or firm operations preferred.
2+ years supervising a team with strong communication and leadership.

Responsibilities

Run day-to-day firm operations, including deadlines, engagement tracking, and capacity planning.
Monitor engagement progress and report weekly on status and bottlenecks.
Document and improve SOPs for onboarding, billing, and delivery.
Oversee billing, collections, and accounts receivable follow-up.
Supervise administrative and client service staff and coordinate staffing.
Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance reviews.
Build and track KPIs such as turnaround time, utilization, realization, WIP, AR aging.
Manage technology and vendor relationships (IT, software, facilities).
Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives and growth.
