Job summary

Aurora is seeking an Operations Manager based in Laredo, TX to lead a multidisciplinary team in fleet optimization, efficiency, and morale. The role requires cross-functional collaboration within Vehicle Operations and with stakeholders across Aurora.

The successful candidate will drive initiatives, develop the team, and act as a point of contact for key Aurora programs, while representing the company to the public with a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Safety focused
• Ability to make command decisions, lead by example, and motivate teams.
• Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
• Experience working in a collaborative environment.
• Valid US driver’s license and clean driving history, validated by an MVR check
• Comfortable with travel for up to one month at a time, up to 30% of your time

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of managers and/or operators
• Lead with empathy and establish an inspired safety culture for all in-vehicle teams
• Lead by example and successfully collaborate cross functionally, with a “Win Together” mindset
• Develop and drive your team by building on individual strengths and opportunities, to ensure continuous growth and development
• Follow all Aurora policies and adhere to the Vehicle Operations Manual
• Manage your team’s productivity and efficiency striving for continuous improvement
• Understand all major Aurora initiatives and programs, and communicate them effectively to ensure alignment at every level of your team.
• Act as POC for key Aurora initiatives as they pertain to Vehicle Operations
• Interact with the public as an ambassador for Aurora
