Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Fleet Operations Technician in Texas to maintain our fleet vehicles, perform OEM maintenance and complex repairs, and collaborate with hardware and software teams. You will document findings, prioritize tasks, and evolve workshop processes to improve quality and efficiency.

Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and flexibility for day or night shifts are required.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years OEM technician experience.
• Strong diagnostics and hands-on repair skills.
• Valid US driver’s license.
• Safety conscious and knowledge of general shop safety.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb, and/or sit frequently throughout the day.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Attention to detail and highly organized.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Vehicle Operations, Software, and Hardware on diagnostics and upgrades.
• Perform routine OEM maintenance and complex mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Document and communicate findings through processes and systems.
• Take ownership and escalate data or findings when appropriate.
• Deliver quality service, work cross-functionally, and foster a can-do team spirit.
• Maintain a clean and professional workspace.
• Capable of balancing and prioritizing multiple tasks.
• Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of the base platform and tooling.
• Proficient in testing procedures and data collection for mechanical/electrical tests.
• Develop new testing methods to support current problems.
• Provide feedback and help implement workshop standards and processes.
