Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC is seeking an Operations Manager to provide oversight and technical leadership for civil construction across a broad geographic area.

You’ll partner with Project Managers and customers to ensure crews are coordinated, budgets and schedules are met, and safety is prioritized. The role requires 10+ years in construction management, 5+ years in foundation work, and a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Accounting, or Business Administration.

Qualifications

• Extensive project management experience on complex projects.
• Ability to analyze complex information and make decisions.
• Proficient in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting methods.
• Ability to oversee numerous projects across a large geographic area.
• 10+ years in construction management.
• 5+ years in foundation construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate crews and contractors to meet budgets and schedules.
• Support safety management system implementation.
• Assist Project Managers with scope development through completion.
• Keep senior management informed on progress and trends.
• Evaluate progress against goals, timelines and objectives.
• Assist Project Managers to correct deficiencies.
• Ensure design requirements and construction quality meet tolerances.
• Develop and standardize cost accounting, budgeting and reporting processes.
• Interface with customers to align construction activities.
• Prepare budgets and financial forecasts; analyze variances.
