Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager for a direct hire opportunity in San Juan, PR within the rental services and heavy machinery industry. This role is ideal for a hands‑on operations leader who can improve daily business performance, manage service and inventory functions, support customer satisfaction, and drive operational efficiency across multiple departments.

The Operations Manager will play a key leadership role in building strong teams, improving processes, managing resources, and ensuring work is completed accurately, safely, and cost‑effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations across service, inventory, purchasing, warehouse, and equipment repair functions to ensure efficient and effective performance.
• Develop and support strategic and operational objectives, including budgeting, forecasting, costing, pricing analysis, and KPI monitoring.
• Review and process repair work orders for accuracy, completeness, labor, materials, parts, and equipment release readiness.
• Improve operational systems, workflows, compliance processes, and best practices to increase productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Lead, coach, evaluate, and motivate department teams while promoting accountability, teamwork, and excellent customer service.
• Collaborate with internal departments to support customer needs, resolve operational challenges, and maintain strong long‑term customer relationships.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $60,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Manage operational performance across service, inventory, purchasing, warehouse, and maintenance functions.
• Oversee work order flow, repair documentation, resource allocation, and equipment release processes.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, costing, pricing, inventory planning, and operational KPIs.
• Lead cross-functional teams focused on process improvement, customer experience, and business efficiency.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 to 7 years of supervisory or management experience, preferably in heavy machinery rental, sales, and service operations.
• Strong knowledge of business management principles, operational best practices, budgeting, inventory control, and resource management.
• Experience using service scheduling, work order, rental management, repair software, and reporting tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, evaluate performance, and make informed business decisions.
• Excellent leadership, team management, communication, and customer service skills.
• Bilingual oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong general computer skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively, solve problems creatively, and work collaboratively across departments.
• Willingness to travel to different work locations as needed.
• Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous management experience with a heavy machinery rental, equipment sales, or service organization.
• Familiarity with rental management systems, work order scheduling tools, dealer portals, repair software, and business intelligence reporting platforms.
• Experience improving service department workflows, inventory accuracy, repair turnaround time, and customer satisfaction metrics.
• Background supporting equipment maintenance operations, parts purchasing, warehouse efficiency, and field service coordination.
