Job summary

EnviromaticSystems, Inc. is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily BAS, HVAC controls, and building automation operations.

You will partner with executives, project managers, service leaders, sales, and technical staff to ensure profitability, safety, and outstanding customer experience. The role requires a proven leadership record across multiple teams and locations, and a focus on continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum7 years of leadership experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC Controls, Mechanical Contracting, Commercial HVAC, Electrical Contracting, or Commercial Construction operations.
• Minimum5 years of experience managing operational teams, including field technicians, programmers, project managers, service personnel, or similar technical staff.
• Proven experience managing project execution, service operations, workforce planning, and operational performance.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction projects, service operations, and project financials.
• Experience managing departmental budgets, labor utilization, and profitability metrics.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multiple teams and manage operations across multiple locations or business units.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, scheduling, resource planning, and operational reporting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations for service, project, programming, and controls teams.
• Develop and implement operational strategies that improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
• Establish and monitor operational KPIs and performance metrics.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure consistency in project execution, service delivery, and customer experience.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop managers, supervisors, and operational personnel.
• Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and support employee development plans.
• Assist with workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, and retention initiatives.
• Manage departmental budgets and operational forecasting.
• Monitor labor utilization, project performance, and gross margin targets.
• Review project and service profitability and implement strategies for improvement.
• Partner with leadership to drive revenue growth while maintaining operational efficiency.
• Support project managers and service leaders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Monitor project schedules, staffing levels, resource allocation, and customer satisfaction.
• Assist with resolving customer concerns and operational escalations.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and business partners.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety requirements.
• Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
• Support audits, operational reviews, and compliance initiatives.
