Job summary

AutomatedTechnologies is seeking a Building Automation Technician to commission and maintain BAS for new building systems. You will diagnose issues, support integration, and ensure reliable performance.

Ideal candidates bring 3–6 years BAS/HVAC controls experience, blueprint reading skills, and willingness to travel up to 25% to support project sites. On-the-job training is provided to support career growth.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years BAS or HVAC controls experience.
• Journeyman HVAC Technician or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with BAS programming environments.
• Ability to read architectural, mechanical, and electrical blueprints.
• Understanding of basic electrical systems and network communications (TCP/IP, Ethernet, VPN).
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and ability to obtain a DOT physical.
• Ability to travel approximately 25 percent.
• OSHA10 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, start-up, commissioning, integration, and maintenance of BAS.
• Test sequences of operation, startup and functional checks on HVAC equipment.
• Validate alarms and safeties, tune control loops and setpoints.
• Collaborate with TAB contractors and mechanical teams to resolve control issues.
• Provide on-site training and maintain accurate records in company databases.

KeyResponsibilities

TheBuildingAutomationTechnician supportstheinstallation,start-up,commissioning,integration,andmaintenanceofbuildingautomationsystemswithafocusonequipment-leveloperation.Thisroleassistswithtestingsequencesofoperation,performingstartupandfunctionalchecksonHVACequipment,validatingalarmsandsafeties,andtuningcontrolloopsandsetpoints.ThetechnicianworkscloselywithTABcontractorsandmechanicalteamstoresolveequipment-specificcontrolissues.

Thetechnicianalsoprovidesonsitetraining,assistswithtroubleshooting,andmaintainsaccuraterecordsofinstallations,servicecalls,maintenance,andprojectactivitieswithincompanydatabaseswhilemaintainingstrongknowledgeofbuildingautomationsystems(BAS)andHVACcontrols.Thisrolecommunicatestechnologycapabilitiestotechnicalandbusinessusers,identifiescustomerneedsandsalesopportunitiestosupportgrowth,andresolvescustomerissuesinalignmentwithcompanygoalsandvalues.
