The Building Automation Specialist is responsible for servicing existing control systems, fulfilling contractual obligations under service agreements, and installing and commissioning small service projects. You will join an existing team of Service Technicians but will work independently most of the time.

What you'll do:

  • Perform maintenance, inspections, site surveys, and service requests including equipment replacement and modifications as needed
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, control, and software issues
  • Upgrade control system software and graphics
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain asset security and accountability
  • Manage documentation and reports regularly
  • Travel to service sites and coordinate with the Service Manager regarding schedules and customer communication
  • Other duties as assigned

Required skills, knowledge, and abilities:

  • High school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred
  • At least 2 years' experience with HVAC controls systems installation or maintenance
  • Experience with ABB drives, Alerton Envision/Compass, Niagara Tridium, Distech, Critical Room Control, Siemens systems
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work in diverse environments including heights, confined spaces, and various weather conditions
  • Vision abilities: close, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
