Job summary

Paragon Pro Rentals is seeking an Operations Manager to lead daily fleet operations for 100+ heavy equipment units. You will supervise shop technicians, drivers, and the parts team, aligning work plans with project goals and budgets.

Responsibilities include acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of assets, managing trucking logistics, and ensuring safety and DOT compliance. You will develop forecasts, track costs, and drive data-driven decisions to optimize deployment and ROI.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in fleet management, equipment administration, or related roles.
• Strong leadership skills with prior experience managing teams (mechanics, technicians, drivers).
• Understanding of heavy equipment maintenance, trucking logistics, and fleet lifecycle management.
• Financial and budgeting skills; ability to manage costs, track ROI, and forecast capital needs.
• Analytical and detail-oriented; able to manage budgets and metrics.
• Tech savvy: comfortable with technology and tracking platforms.
• Hands-on and approachable; able to work closely with technicians and operators.
• Service-driven; balancing team and company needs with accountability.

• Lead and supervise mechanic/technician teams to ensure timely, cost-effective repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Oversee trucking logistics team, coordinating movement of equipment across projects.
• Align equipment resources with project schedules, ensuring accurate project costing and utilization tracking.
• Develop and manage budgets for equipment repairs, lifecycle management, and capital expenditures.
• Implement systems for tracking equipment usage, performance, and costs.
• Partner with project managers and leadership to forecast equipment needs and optimize deployment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain audit readiness and ensure workers are trained for regulated DOT-compliant equipment.
• Develop accurate customer quotes and manage required shop and regulatory documentation.
• Ensure use of approved suppliers and adherence to internal controls.
• Facilitate strong communication across functional teams to drive service excellence.
