Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Operations Management Trainee to join a structured 18 to 24-month program designed to develop leadership and operational knowledge within transportation and logistics.

You will work across teams to enhance customer retention and drive operational excellence, with relocation opportunities at the program’s end. Ideal candidates are recent graduates committed to growth in a Fortune 500 company with extensive training, mentorship, and a broad set of business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 1 year or more in customer service with issue resolution preferred.
• Strong PC knowledge including spreadsheet and word processing software.
• Advanced skills are required.
• Basic understanding of Business Finance, controls, and metrics.
• Beginner skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer interface, proactive customer management, issue resolution, and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with the rental department to maximize utilization without compromising lease customers.
• Partner with Sales staff on customer calls for new business and increased customer satisfaction.
• Manage running costs and maintenance overheads.
• Ensure policy and processes are followed to optimize running costs and maintenance overhead.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ensure PM scheduling, follow-up, breakdowns and vehicle status updates; oversee technician work planning for efficiency.
• Relocation within the business unit at the conclusion of the training program is required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
