Job summary

JBS USA is seeking an Operations Management Trainee for a 12-month immersive leadership program across multiple domestic locations in the United States. You will rotate through production sectors, support the operations team, and work toward hands-on leadership experience aligned with the company’s production strategy.

The program emphasizes continuous improvement, food safety, and teamwork, with group leadership sessions at the Greeley, CO headquarters and a final placement into a leadership

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
• Willingness to work different shifts and occasional weekends.
• Flexibility to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Rotations-You will spend time learning and working in every business sector of your location.
• Will provide support to the operations team.
• May be either in 1st processing or 2nd processing operations.
• Ensure effective and efficient operations with a culture of continuous improvement.
• Maintain the production practices that support the food safety program in the facility.
• Monitor product quality and production operations to meet customer expectations.
• Create an environment where all are expected to be active members of the team while deeply involved in the business.
• Identify problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolve issues; ensure production resources (including materials, equipment, and human resources) are available as needed to maintain product schedules.
• Support continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost, and customer service.
• Implement a solution to fix problems or bottlenecks identified.
• Create relationships with hourly team members.
• Shadow production supervisors and learn their day to day operations.
• Anticipate and determine causes of delays in shift operations and take appropriate actions to meet production schedules.
• Complete a challenging project that aligns with key performance indicators (KPIs) and impacts our bottom line.
• Participate in three group-based Leadership Development Training sessions at our corporate U.S. Headquarters in Greeley, CO.
• Final Placement: the last 4 months of the program will provide hands-on training in an area of interest with the intention of final placement into a leadership role.
