Job summary

Target’s Supply Chain Operations Internship offers a paid, 40-hour weekly experience in a real distribution center. As an Operations Intern you will learn to lead alongside managers, mentor teammates, and help drive safe, efficient daily performance while preparing for a future operations leadership role.

You’ll work with mentors, rotate through departments, and participate in planning meetings, safety walks, and process-improvement initiatives that push guest service and productivity.

Qualifications

• Paid 40 hr/week internship in operations leadership.
• Gains realistic preview into life as an Operations Manager.
• Mentor-guided learning with extensive training.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support daily operations with the team on the floor.
• Plan daily goals and organize shift plans to meet targets.
• Track KPIs such as safety, quality, and productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement using CI methodologies.
• Coordinate IT and operations to address system issues.
• Mentor and develop team members for leadership roles.
• Lead daily planning meetings with peers and managers.
• Conduct safety walks and audits for compliance.
