Job summary

Target offers an Operations Internship in a busy supply chain facility, a paid 40 hr./week program designed to build leadership skills and real-world operations expertise. You will work closely with managers, mentoring, and rotating through departments to gain insight into how Target runs its distribution operations.

You’ll learn to lead, motivate, and influence a team while solving problems, driving productivity, and ensuring safety is a top priority.

Qualifications

• Participation in school or extracurricular activities and experience in leadership roles.
• Strong interest in working in retail, specifically within our supply chain facilities.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Problem-solving skills and strong initiative.
• Team-oriented thinking with enthusiasm for continuous learning.
• Ability to access all levels and areas of the facility to respond to team member issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with team members to align daily priorities.
• Assist in planning and executing daily/weekly workload.
• Maintain quality and inventory accuracy through standard processes.
• Track KPIs like safety, teamwork, quality and productivity to drive improvements.
• Provide coaching and feedback to team members to support development.
