Job summary

Target is offering an Operations Intern position in a paid, 40 hr/week internship designed to develop and prepare for leadership in our supply chain facilities. You will work closely with mentors and managers to learn how daily operations are executed, lead colleagues, and drive productivity while maintaining safety and adherence to standard processes.

Qualifications

• Participation in school or extracurricular activities and experience in leadership roles.
• Strong interest in working in retail, specifically within our supply chain facilities.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Problem‑solving skills and strong initiative.
• Team‑oriented thinking with enthusiasm for continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Spend time on the facilities floor helping to lead amongst team members and align the team in daily priorities.
• Lead through daily planning meetings with the leadership team.
• Plan daily goals and organize shift plans to achieve targets at start of shift.
• Provide summary of results around plan attainment and hurdles to apply moving forward.
