Job summary

Target is offering a paid Operations Intern internship in a Target Supply Chain Facility. The 40 hr/week program provides hands‑on leadership development as you work alongside managers and teammates to learn how daily operations are executed and how to drive results.

You will lead a team, mentor peers, and gain exposure to multiple business areas while supporting safety and productivity in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Participation in school or extracurricular activities and experience in leadership roles.
• Strong interest in working in retail, particularly in supply chain facilities.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Problem solving skills and initiative.
• Team‑oriented mindset with willingness to learn.
• Ability to access various facility areas and respond to team needs.
• Able to follow instructions and understand reports and information.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Comfort with physical tasks such as climbing ladders and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support daily operations as part of the team.
• Learn to lead, motivate, and influence a team, including a department.
• Engage in internship rotations to understand business areas and operations.
• Attend daily planning meetings and contribute to goal attainment.
• Conduct safety walks and ensure quality, safety, and productivity standards.
• Provide feedback and coaching to team members to improve performance.
• Support continuous improvement and problem‑solving activities.
