EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking a seasoned leader to oversee the Business Unit’s operations, providing direction to Project Managers and their teams while coaching staff for growth and development.

You will drive performance reviews, implement continuous improvement, and ensure the unit operates in line with company strategies and manuals, fostering collaboration across units and enhancing overall efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6-10 years progressive experience in project management or operations, sales or marketing in the Construction Industry – working for multi-million dollar mechanical contractors.
• Undergraduate degree in business, finance, engineering or similar degree preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of the industry and its current events.
• Technical competencies – understand software, hardware, networks, etc.
• High initiative and ability to work in team environment.
• Effectively handle stressful situations and deadline pressures.
• Strong communication skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Common sense.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage operations for the Business Unit by providing oversight, direction and support to the Project Managers and their teams.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to direct reports to facilitate growth.
• Build an organizational culture focused on continuous improvement in line with ELEVATE core values.
• Develop strategies to ensure seamless coordination with other business units and inform decisions in the company’s best interest.
• Ensure operations align with the company Operations Manual and coordinate necessary changes.
• Drive quality improvement through research and adoption of best practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational systems, processes and policies.
• Set aggressive yet attainable operational goals tied to long-term company objectives.
