Job summary

EMCOR Facilities Services, Inc. is seeking a Director to set the strategic direction of the Projects Team in consultation with the Departmental VP.

The Director will oversee Senior Project Managers who coordinate activities to meet client and company goals. The role requires strong leadership, process improvement, and KPI management, with a focus on safety, training, and developing team capabilities across multi-site projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college (leadership and communication preferred).
• MBA strongly preferred.
• 10–15 years of experience in Construction Management.
• Proven success in leading others.
• LEED Associate, State General Contracting Licenses, or related professional affiliations a plus.
• PMI Certification required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Continuously evaluate departmental processes and technology for effectiveness.
• Evaluate processes, procedures and technology toward continuous improvement.
• Develop new processes and provide training to team members.
• Ensure the team tracks KPIs and achieves superior results.
• Evaluate new project opportunities and assign tasks by team skills.
• Manage project portfolios by leveraging data including profitability and PM performance.
• Evaluate non-billable time by Project Manager.
• Evaluate project management costs as a percentage of project cost.
• Ensure timely project completion (substantial completion and punch list).
• Plan pipeline and capacity by person and by team.
• Select, orient, and hire new employees.
• Coach, provide performance feedback, counsel team members.
• Ensure assigned project team stays current with safety training and audits.
