Job summary

Plimpton & Hills Corp. is seeking a Director of Operations to lead branch operations, distribution, inventory, purchasing, pricing, and customer service.

You will drive standardized processes, KPIs, and continuous improvement to deliver safety, efficiency, and profitability across the branch network. You will oversee facilities, fleet, warranty, and service excellence while partnering with Sales, Finance, IT, and suppliers to optimize the supply chain and support long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or related field; 10+ years of multi-site operations leadership.
• Experience in wholesale distribution of plumbing/HVAC or building products preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with data-driven approach.
• Excellent communication and collaboration; travel to branch locations required.

Responsibilities

• Lead branch operations, distribution, inventory, purchasing, pricing, and customer service.
• Develop standardized processes and KPIs to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Oversee facilities and fleet operations, safety, and warranty processes.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, IT and suppliers to optimize supply chain.
• Drive continuous improvement, lean initiatives, and scalability across locations.
• Forecast, budget, and monitor operating expenses; manage capital investments.
• Develop leaders, manage performance, and cultivate a safety-focused culture.
• Ensure exceptional customer experience across the branch network.
