Baptist Health South Florida seeks a Supervisor of Patient Access to oversee daily department operations, patient flow across service lines, and staff coordination with a focus on service excellence. The role supports efficient processes and patient-centric care across multiple sites.

Requirements include an Associate’s Degree in Healthcare (CHAA preferred) or 4+ years in Patient Access, plus strong communication, analytical skills, and HIPAA knowledge.

Formación

• Associate’s Degree in Healthcare preferred with minimum 3 years in Supervisory/Lead capacity, preferably in Patient Access, with knowledge of insurance benefits, collections, and authorizations/pre-certifications.
• In lieu of an Associate’s Degree, minimum 4 years’ experience in Patient Access or healthcare setting.
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal & written), and customer service skills.
• Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, EMTALA, ICD-10/CPT codes and regulatory guidelines.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee all daily departmental operations and address employee, patient, and organizational needs.
• Serve as cross-functional leader overseeing patient flow across service lines, departments, offices, and sites.
• Ensure effective staff management, coordination, and prioritization of work assignments.
• Uphold Baptist Health South Florida’s service excellence philosophy in interactions with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
