Design Within Reach is seeking an Operations Manager to drive safety, quality, reliability, and continuous improvement across our facilities. You will lead and develop on-floor teams, implement standardized work, and ensure processes maximize value while aligning with our business strategy.

This role emphasizes hands-on leadership, on-floor visibility, and collaboration with customer service and quality teams to achieve 100% on-time delivery of quality products.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of supervisory experience in a technical or complex operations environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with professionalism.
• Ability to coach, lead change, and resolve conflicts.
• Proficient with office automation and standard tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement of operational processes to maximize value to customers.
• Lead and manage building operations.
• Spend 80% of time on the floor to observe value-added activities and gather input from employees.
• Facilitate change to improve the organization’s capability by leveraging people’s skills to solve problems.
• Motivate and involve employees through feedback, coaching, and accountable performance.
• Partner with customer service and quality teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Ensure 100% on-time delivery of quality products to customers.
