Job summary

Design Within Reach, part of MillerKnoll, is seeking an Operations Manager to drive floor-based improvements and lead teams across multiple departments. The role emphasizes on-site leadership, safety programs, and delivering quality products on time.

You will spend most of your time on the shop floor, coaching staff, solving problems, and collaborating with customer service and quality teams to prevent issues and protect client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of successful supervisory experience in a technical or complex operations environment.
• Ability to express ideas effectively with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
• Adept at resolving conflict in a team environment.
• Demonstrated coaching and change management skills.
• Ability to effectively use office automation and communication software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement of operational processes to maximize value delivered to customers.
• Lead and manage building operations and direct floor activities 80% of the time.
• Motivate and involve employees to improve processes through problem solving and learning.
• Provide timely feedback, including performance reviews and coaching.
• Ensure 100% on-time delivery of quality products and a safe working environment.
