Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking an Operations Manager to lead daily production operations, drive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, and partner with the Site Leader to maximize profitability. The role focuses on safety, quality, cost control, and continuous improvement across manufacturing functions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing (HVAC/industrial), strong lean and Six Sigma expertise, and proven leadership of cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or Operations Management.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred.
• 5+ years in manufacturing, HVAC or metal fabrication/industrial equipment production.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in manufacturing software and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Promote and drive the Daily Management System (DMS) to ensure efficient operating systems.
• Provide development and guidance to hourly and salaried workforce through coaching and partnerships.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop Production Supervisors and skilled labor.
• Foster a safety-focused culture with accountability and teamwork.
• Execute production plans to meet schedules at cost, including manpower and asset management.
• Collaborate with engineering to align production with product specs.
• Implement and monitor KPIs to measure efficiency and performance.
• Support capital planning to provide capacity and cost control.
