Job summary

True North is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee daily store operations in a fast-paced convenience environment. You will lead shifts, train and schedule team members, manage staffing, inventory, and cash controls, and ensure a fast, friendly guest experience.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent customer service, and the ability to handle POS transactions while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior customer service or cashier experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be available for 40 hours per week and on-call coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide active, visible floor leadership during shifts and support team members.
• Deliver prompt, courteous customer service in line with company standards.
• Process transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Recruit and train new team members and serve as manager-on-duty during shifts.
• Lead scheduling and assist with inventory management as needed.
• Coach staff in real-time and ensure compliance with safety and cash-handling guidelines.
