Can Do Crew Plumbing, Heating & AC is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our HVAC and Plumbing operations in Bakersfield. You will develop managers, set performance standards, and drive profitable growth while navigating a fast-paced service environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of operations leadership in home services.
• Proven experience leading managers and teams in a performance-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of KPIs, budgeting, labor management, productivity, and profitability.
• Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Comfortable working both in the office and alongside field operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop department managers and operational teams.
• Oversee day-to-day HVAC and Plumbing service and installation operations.
• Establish clear performance expectations and hold leaders accountable for results.
• Monitor and improve key operational KPIs, including revenue, average ticket, technician productivity, labor utilization, conversion, callbacks, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
• Ensure departments are properly staffed, scheduled, equipped, and prepared to meet business demands.
• Work closely with Dispatch, Customer Service, Sales, Install, Warehouse, Recruiting/HR, and Ownership.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement effective solutions.
• Improve processes, workflows, communication, and overall efficiency.
• Maintain visibility with field teams and ensure technicians and installers have the support they need to succeed.
• Coach managers and employees to improve performance and develop future leaders.
• Ensure consistent execution of company policies, procedures, safety standards, and customer-service expectations.
• Monitor customer feedback, complaints, callbacks, and service recovery.
• Partner with Sales leadership to strengthen technician-generated opportunities and customer handoffs.
• Manage labor, overtime, expenses, productivity, gross margin, and departmental profitability.
• Assist ownership with budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, and operational strategy.
