Job summary

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® in Lexington, KY is seeking an Operations Manager to lead our frontline moving team and drive location performance in Safety, Customer Service and Sales. This role combines hands-on leadership with strategic oversight of scheduling, dispatch, training and compliance.

You will recruit, coach and develop staff, monitor safety and quality, manage fleet maintenance, and support local marketing while helping to grow the business.

Qualifications

• Experience in management or leadership.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to motivate, coach and develop a team.
• Willingness to work Saturdays and Sundays as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and motivate movers and drivers.
• Manage daily scheduling, dispatching and truck assignments.
• Monitor moves for safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct vehicle, equipment and paperwork audits.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding.
• Train and develop employees while building future leaders.
• Coordinate fleet maintenance and equipment inventory.
• Ensure compliance with safety, DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Support local marketing and sales initiatives.
• Serve as emergency on-call contact outside normal business hours.
