Job summary

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is seeking an Operations Manager to lead our Lexington team and drive performance in safety, service, and sales. The role combines frontline leadership with strategic oversight to raise standards and profitability.

We offer a starting salary of $50,000–$65,000 plus monthly bonuses, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and clear opportunities for advancement within a growing multi-unit system across Kentucky and beyond.

Qualifications

• Previous management or leadership experience.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to motivate, coach and develop a team.
• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to complete a pre-employment background check and random drug screens.
• Availability to work Saturdays and approximately one Sunday per month.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily scheduling, dispatching and truck assignments.
• Monitor moves to ensure safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct vehicle, equipment and paperwork audits.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding.
• Train and develop employees while building future leaders.
• Hold team members accountable to performance and company standards.
• Coordinate fleet maintenance and equipment inventory.
• Ensure compliance with safety, DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Help control costs and improve location profitability.
• Support local marketing and sales initiatives.
• Serve as an emergency on-call contact outside normal business hours.

What You’ll Do

As Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for leading our frontline moving team and helping drive the location's performance in three key areas: Safety, Customer Service and Sales.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
