Job summary

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Operations Manager to lead moving crews and manage daily operations. You’ll supervise dispatch, coordinate staffing, safety, and customer service while driving efficiency and service quality.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, management experience, a valid driver’s license, and are willing to work weekends and undergo background checks. Join a growing team with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Management, business, or related experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to submit to background check and random drug screens.
• Willingness to work Saturdays and one Sunday per month.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and dispatch mover/driver teams daily; coordinate scheduling.
• Conduct safety audits, vehicle inspections, and paperwork audits.
• Lead by example; develop and motivate the team.
• Hire and onboard new staff; manage training.
• Oversee fleet maintenance and equipment inventory.
• Promote safety and ensure DOT/FMCSA compliance.
• Be on-call for emergencies outside normal hours.
• Build rapport with customers and estimate service costs in the system.
• Advise on moving services, boxes, supplies and add-ons.
• Handle clerical and administrative tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
